Pavilion P at the Brno exhibition centre the Building of the Year of the South Moravian Region |
In the competition Building of the Year of the South Moravian Region for 2009 announced by the South Moravian Building Society attached to the Association of Building Entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic under the sponsorship of the South Moravian Region the first prize in the category of Buildings for Civic Amenities went to Pavilion P at the Brno exhibition centre.
Construction of Pavilion P began in 2008 and the opening ceremony took place on 5 June 2009 on the occasion of the Autosalon fair. Above all, the new pavilion P provided 15 thousand square meters of indoor exhibition space and also a new entrance area; it livened up the western part of the exhibition centre and offered new options for organisers of cultural and sports events.
After almost one year Pavilion P has seen not only a number of fairs but also sports tournaments and concerts - Abba the Show, Kryštof, Paul van Dyk. Shortly after opening it became a TV star thanks to the recording of the Brno casting of the Czech-Slovakian version of Superstar (Got Talent). |
