| JaGa at EMBAX with a comprehensive offer of Videojet and WILLET imprinting technologies
A comprehensive selection of Videojet and WILLETT companies will be introduced at the exhibition stand of JaGa, spol. s r.o. at EMBAX, the International Trade Fair of Packaging and Packaging Technologies. It is taking place at the Brno Exhibition Centre together with the International Food Fairs on 2 – 5 March 2010. “Due to the importance which we see in these trade fairs, our exhibition display will contain a complete portfolio of these companies. Our company has been a participant of exhibitions focused on the food industry since 1992. We consider the trade fairs organised by BVV a forum where it is clear who is who, where it is not just a presentation of development in the area of labelling but also in services and in the companies themselves,” said Miloslav Janovský, head of the commercial and technical representatives of JaGa.
A novelty of 2010 is found in the complete model line of INK-JET CIJs which is a result of cooperation between Videojet and WILLETT. The line marked 1210, 1510 and 1620 brings substantial change in the ink system. These contactless imprinting devices have found the greatest use specifically in the food industry. “It is a fast, very clean and the cheapest principle of imprinting on individual products. The devices are installed directly into the packaging, filling or labelling machinery, without the necessity of substantial adjustments. That is why they often replace contact imprinting or labelling devices which are more costly and usually cannot apply a dynamic variable value such as time, counter or winning number in the printing,” added Miloslav Janovský. INK-JET is used not just for the compulsory production date, batch or best-before date but with a random number generator it can successfully implement a whole array of the so-called PROMOTION ACTION, without limiting production or decreasing the production output. It can find its use for example in the production of milk, cheeses, salads, non-alcoholic drinks, spirits, beer, wine, meat and sausages in various types of packaging, also sweets, all baked goods, biscuits etc.
Emphasis on bar code legibility
Labelling of already packaged goods often uses an automatic applicator of self-adhesive labels which include the information about the product (origin, producer, nutrition facts, barcode etc.) The advantage of the device is in high precision of the label application, their reliability in operation and also the fact that they are not demanding on personnel.
After the accession of the Czech Republic to the EU, the duty to label food products is more and more enforced. This concerns the possibility of tracing back products also with the use of barcodes (the EAN 13/EAN 128 standard). A larger printable area thus increases the adhesive label costs. Therefore worldwide commercial packaging (cartons, trays) is gradually subject to the introduction of direct imprinting before its placement on a palette. That is implemented automatically directly on the conveyor belt while the increased demands on the extent of printing are still significantly lower compared to self-adhesive labels.
DPS labelling also supports the export of smelly cheese
In order to implement this technology, JaGa offers the DPS type technology which provides a printing trace of 50 mm (DPS 2320) up to 70 mm (DPS 2330). The length of the print is only limited by the length of the labelled packaging and the barcode prints generated by a DPS device comply with the norm ISO/IEC 15416 (Bar Code Print Quality Test) as well as the follow-up norms. When testing the device on the established cartons of the customer, JaGa provides full support in order to achieve optimum results. „The first user from the food industry is AW Loštice company. Labelling the commercial smelly cheese packages supported their ever increasing sales on the Czech and Slovak markets as well as exports of this speciality to all neighbouring European countries. In other words – this manner of imprinting is fully suitable for all logistic activities required by the movement of goods in distribution,” added Miloslav Janovský. In case of introducing barcode prints, JaGa carries the guarantees for the date logic as well as barcode legibility. They acquired a Partner GS1 accreditation (status intended for suppliers of comprehensive solutions based on GS1 system.
JaGa spol. s r.o. is a private family business which has been developing its activities in the area of imprinting and labelling technologies since 1991. They are an exclusive distributor of the WILLETT and Videojet brands on the Czech market. The key part of the supplied portfolio consists of the contactless imprinting devices of the ink-jet type, termotransfer label printers and complete lines of label applicators. Apart from supplying individual devices, JaGa is also able to provide the implementation of comprehensive solutions including technology subcontracting and managing hardware and software systems. |
